Frequently asked questions
Everything about pricing, privacy, the AI, supported devices and the rebrand. If your question is not here, we answer email within 24–48 hours.
Getting started
Is Rendelog free?
Yes. The pantry inventory, the curated recipe library, step-by-step cooking mode, timers, the shopping list, favorites and history are all free. The free plan also includes a monthly allowance of AI requests. Premium raises those AI limits and removes ad interruptions.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes. Rendelog asks you to register on first launch — there is no guest mode. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with your Google account. It takes under a minute and no payment details are involved.
The account exists so your pantry can follow you to a new phone, so Premium purchases can be restored, and so AI usage limits can be applied fairly. Registration is free and stays free.
Which devices are supported?
Rendelog is available on Android 7.0 and above through Google Play. An iOS version is in development — the App Store badge on this site will go live when it ships.
Does it work offline?
Partly. Your pantry, the recipe library, cooking mode, timers and the shopping list work without a connection because that data lives on your device. Anything that calls the AI — generation, chat, substitutions, rescue — needs internet.
The AI
How does the AI actually work?
Rendelog runs deterministic matching first: it scores every recipe in the curated library against your pantry and ranks them, pushing expiring ingredients to the top. The AI is used for the parts a rule cannot solve — writing a new recipe around unusual ingredients, proposing a substitution, adapting servings, or diagnosing a dish that went wrong.
When the AI changes something, the change is presented as a visible difference you approve. It does not silently rewrite a recipe you are already cooking.
Can I trust AI-generated recipes?
Treat them as suggestions from a competent but fallible assistant. AI output can be wrong about cooking times, quantities and especially allergens. Always check a recipe against your own dietary needs, allergies and basic food-safety rules before you cook it. This is the same warning we show inside the app.
What happens when I run out of AI requests?
The rest of the app keeps working normally — pantry, library recipes, cooking mode and the shopping list are never gated. Where rewarded ads are available you can watch one to earn extra AI credit, or upgrade to Premium for a much higher limit.
Privacy and data
Where is my pantry data stored?
On your device by default. Your ingredient list, preferences, notes and cooking history are stored locally. If you sign in with Google, that data can be synchronised so you do not lose it when you change phones.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell personal data. Rendelog uses a small number of standard third-party services — Google Play services, an analytics layer, a subscription platform and an ad network — which are described in detail in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email us and we will remove your account data. You can also clear local data from inside the app at any time. Contact details are on the Support page.
Billing and languages
How do I cancel Premium?
Premium is billed through Google Play. Open the Play Store app, go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, select Rendelog and cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Which languages does the app support?
The app interface and the AI assistant are fully bilingual in English and Turkish. This website is available in six languages so you can read about the app before installing it.
Why does the package still say “modoza”?
Rendelog launched under the name Modoza. When we rebranded, the Android package identifier (com.modoza.app) and this domain stayed as they were — changing a package name on Google Play means publishing a completely new app and losing every existing install and review. The app you download is Rendelog; the identifier underneath is simply history.
